MPLSART is an organization devoted to promoting the Twin Cities art scene and building a more sustainable arts community.
In 2020, MPLSART launched the MPLSART Sketchbook Project where five sketchbooks were passed from artist to artist throughout the Twin Cities in hopes of capturing the anguish and sense of hope during the COVID pandemic.
I had the privilege of participating in the project sharing two illustrations on one of the sketchbooks and one original piece for the project’s exhibit at Gamut Gallery.
All five original sketchbooks were acquired by the Minnesota Museum of American Art and are now part of their permanent collections.
